The essentials for life and crucial components of our quality of life are food, air, and water. This issue of TOMORROW Magazine looks at food, in terms of the food supply for the Houston region’s growing population of 5.5 million people, the local agriculture infrastructure, possibilities for a sustainable future for the region, and the expansion of local farmers’ markets and community gardens.
The mission of TOMORROW magazine is to give citizens and decision-makers the information they need to make wise choices about Houston’s future. The magazine is published biannually and each issue focuses on a major theme of importance to the development of the region, including Access & Mobility, Flooding & Water, Food, and Health. TOMORROW Magazine is circulated free of charge to citizens and decision makers.
