Texas Ship Channel deepening finished

Increased depth from 40 to 45’

The Texas Ship Channel leading to Texas City has been dredged to increase the depth from 40 to 45 feet, according to the Austin American Statesman.

A recent study found that the Houston Ship Channel should also be further dredged to ensure its economic impact to the Houston region, according to the Houston Chronicle.
