All across San Francisco, there are new parklets where you can tune your bike, enjoy a cappuccino, or just sit and relax - all in what used to be parking spaces, according to a story in SFGate.com:
In just the past three years, San Francisco’s streets have become more beautiful, more innovative, and more bike and pedestrian friendly.
Powell Street has a new promenade, there’s an outdoor plaza at 17th and Castro streets, and Valencia Street is now adorned with a whole lot more outdoor seating.
“This one is my favorite,” says Molly DeCoudreaux, as she sits eating ice cream in the parklet on Valencia and 21st streets, near her home. “I just love that someone took the time to create this topiary dinosaur and that anyone can sit here and enjoy the space.” MORE
