Kemah is the latest municipality to allow farmers’ markets within the jurisdiction, according to an article in Guidry News:
Kemah City Council on Wednesday voted unanimously to adopt an amendment to the city’s vendors ordinance to allow the operation of farmers markets in the city.
The amendment allows for farmers markets with a minimum of 10 spaces, and sets a $1,000 annual fee for the operation of the market.
The city council voted unanimously to authorize right-of-way at part of 3rd Street, under the Kemah bridge, to be used for access and parking.
The Kemah parking ordinances were also on the agenda, but the City Council took no action, according to the Guidry News report.
