Harris County topped the nation in air pollution in 2010, with 12 million pounds of toxic air pollution, according to KUHF news, reporting on the US Environmental Protection Agency’s recently released Toxic Release Inventory.
Harris County was second in the nation in terms of surface water pollution, with 2.5 million pounds of wastewater.
