The Galveston Housing Authority is planning three urban, mixed-income residential redevelopments, according to Guidry News. The Galveston Planning Commission unanimously approved the plans last week, and the City Council will review them today.
The news release states:
The plan, which was based largely on community input, will incorporate several urbanism concepts, including green building principles, open spaces, and mixed-income developments.

The GHA believes Wednesday’s vote constitutes a very positive step to provide an adequate supply of safe, affordable housing for Galveston citizens.
