A Future of Houston’s Children conference will take place on Tuesday, August 3rd, 2010, from 9 am to 2 pm, at the United Way of Houston (map) and provide guests with an opportunity to explore issues affecting Houston’s youth, according to Children at Risk, a local nonprofit organization hosting the event:
Curious about the state of Houston’s youth? Interested in cutting edge research, presentations, and speakers focusing on the plethora of issues affecting our children’s daily lives? Join CHILDREN AT RISK for our annual Future of Houston’s Children conference at the United Way of Houston. Topics will include educational reform, youth and the environment, Latino children’s health, mental health and juvenile justice, food and children, and Dr. Sanborn will present A Tale of Two Cities: Houston’s Future.
Interested parties can register online for $35, which includes lunch.
