New tools may predict trends

Hurricane activity in the Atlantic and the Gulf of Mexico goes through natural cycles that may be impacted by human actions, and scientists may now be able to accurately predict the severity of hurricane seasons several years into the future, according to a report in Wired magazine. The models used in these studies may also help attribute how human actions affect hurricanes over time.
