Rick Perry for President campaign aide Deirde Delisi is leaving her post as chairman of the Texas Transportation Commission, where she has led the governing board for the embattled 12,000-worker state agency since 2008, according to a story in the Dallas News:
(Her letter to TxDOT acting executive director John Barton is here, and dated Oct. 6.)
Delisi, a Duke graduate with a strong background in politics and public policy, was appointed to lead the agency by Gov. Rick Perry when the governor’s long-time close friend Ric Williamson died on the job.
She now works for Perry’s campaign for the presidency as a chief policy adviser. MORE
