County approves San Antonio streetcar

Could break ground in January

Bexar County Commissioners have committed $55 million toward a series of transit projects, including the development of a streetcar line in downtown San Antonio, should the City and VIA Metropolitan Transit contribute their expected shares toward the $180 million project, according to MySanAntonio.com.  Should all the funding come together, VIA could break ground on the project in January.
