Cristof Spieler, on his blog Intermodality, which he writes for the Citizens’ Transportation Coalition, and Andrew Burleson, on his blog NeoHouston, consider the potential proposals to deploy high speed rail in Texas and various local issues that will determine the effectiveness of the proposed system. Among many issues, both analyze the newly floating idea for an inner triangle high speed rail route that Houston Tomorrow’s David Crossley introduced at the Megaregions + MetroProsperity Conference.
On a related note, the Houston Chronicle editorialized that various agencies in the region must successfully work together to develop the ideal commuter rail system for the Houston region.
