Along Buffalo Bayou from Shepherd to Sabine, an ambitious set of pedestrian and bicycle paths, park space and natural areas, and community facilities will be constructed over the next three years, reaching the long sought vision of a linear park in the heart of urban Houston in 2015, according to CultureMap.

The Buffalo Bayou Partnership has gathered over $55 million in public and private funds to build trails, bike/ped bridges, public art, and amenities, like a new outdoor amphitheater called Water Music Place that will go in next to the existing Joe Jamail Skateboard Park.
