Houston Tomorrow has received a $150,000, three-year grant from the Cynthia & George Mitchell Foundation to support its work on sustainable development in the Houston region. The gift comes in the form of a challenge grant: Houston Tomorrow must show support from the Houston community and needs to raise $50,000 each year to match the Foundation’s funding.
This crucial funding will establish the Mitchell Fellow for Sustainability, a position that will immediately focus on Houston Tomorrow’s participation in the 13-county Regional Plan for Sustainable Development and other research and education projects to shed light on sustainable practices.
