Three national non-profits focused on sustainability issues wrote a letter to (then) President-Elect Barack Obama, urging him to use his inaugural address as an opportunity to inspire the nation to work together to meet the crisis of climate change, and to become our leader in an Inaugurate Change campaign to slow and prepare for the effects of this crisis.
WorldChanging, Focus the Nation, and 350.org - three non-profit organizations that provide media coverage, education, and public engagement strategies - included in their letter to the President 10 major strategies to fight climate change while generating a strong economic recovery.
“Livable cities, clean energy, green jobs, new technologies, improved product design, better transportation, healthy forests and thriving family farms are all foundations of a strong new economy. American ingenuity can and will start a global recovery based on those foundations.”
