TxDOT is updating its long-range, multi-modal statewide transportation plan, and the general public is invited to provide input on it during various public meetings. A Houston-based meeting will take place on Thursday, May 6th, from 4-7pm, at the TxDOT Houston District Office auditorium (map), according to a TxDOT web page.
Additional information on the 2035 plan includes the following, which is available on a separate 2035 page:
The new Statewide Long-Range Transportation Plan 2035 will serve as the state’s 24-year “blueprint” for the planning process. It will guide the collaborative efforts between TxDOT, local and regional decision-makers and all transportation stakeholders to reach a consensus on transportation needs.
This is a collaborative process involving TxDOT, metropolitan areas, cities, counties, the traveling public and various public and private transportation organizations. Well-informed stakeholders can provide valuable input to the transportation decision making process. Several public involvement opportunities are available for the public to provide input and to comment.
