This 5-day Swiss exhibit on alternative transportation will take place during open business hours at Rice University’s Brochstein Pavilion (map) from Monday, April 5th to Friday, April 9th.
An email describing the event includes the following information:
The Swiss exhibit “The Challenge of Sustainable Transportation for the 21st Century: The Prospects for Switzerland and the U.S.” presents information on policies, incentives, infrastructure, land use planning, and timetables, providing insights into the long-term financial aspects of transportation and funding plans to ensure high quality and sustainable solutions.
The exhibit was created by the Embassy of Switzerland in Washington, D.C., in collaboration with the Federal Office of Transport in Switzerland as part of a U.S.-wide program “Think-Swiss-Brainstorm the future”. As a leading country in science and technology, Switzerland is dedicated to working with its American counterparts to address the challenges of sustainability and find solutions that benefit our world.
Two launching events in Washington, D.C., gave the impetus for the traveling exhibit that will visit Houston from April 5th to April 9th, at the Brochstein Pavilion of Rice University.
