Event Details — “Soul of Houston” conference
A free public conference where eight distinguished Houstonians - poets, ministers, scholars, urban planners, city officials, psychotherapists - will engage audience members in an evening and morning of inquiry, reflection, and discussion of the nature of Houston's "soul." Topics will include Houston's uniqueness, its cultural richness and heritage, and a new look at aspects of its racial history, and more.
The conference will begin with a 7:00 pm registration on Friday, March 27 followed by several presentations, and begin again on Saturday, March 28 at 8:30 am.
