Event Details — Rivers, Lakes, Bays, ‘n Bayous “Trash Bash”
Trash Bash 2009 calls on all kids and adults who would like to play a part in keeping the natural waterways in their community or region clean to volunteer for this event. Organized by the
Houston-Galveston Area Council (H-GAC), this is the largest yearly statewide event to educate the public about the importance of our water resources. Participants can choose from

Cleanup-day schedules, beginning with on-site registration, vary from site to site, so refer to the specific schedule, directions, and site description provided for your site. Volunteers get a free lunch and
Trash Bash t-shirt, followed by activities, exhibits, and entertainment at different cleanup locations.
Participants, especially large groups, are encouraged to fill out their registration form (
English) (
Spanish) in advance to bring with them to the event.
Rain or shine. Consult the Trash Bash website for links to important volunteer safety information and guidelines, online educational resources, and photos and results from previous events. Further questions? Email or call H-GAC organizers using the contact info below.
