The City of Houston Planning & Development Department is sleeking input on identifying potential changes to the City’s Off-Street Parking Ordinance. A Planning Commission subcommittee has been formed to help examine the issues and develop recommendations for amendments. Three community meetings are planned where citizens and business owners can help shape the issues for the committee to review.
From a Planning & Development Department press release:
Some of the topics that will be discussed include but are not limited to shared parking, parking management areas, types of occupancy and intensity of use (i.e. bars, types of restaurants, etc.), parking incentives for development along transit corridors or for restoration of historic buildings, lifts and valet parking just to name a few.
