The Mixed-Use committee of the City of Houston Planning Commission will meet to consider new ordinances and incentives to implement the Urban Corridors plan for the 67 light rail station neighborhoods that will be open in 2012. The topic for the next meeting is curb cuts and building transparency. So far the committee has considered goals, minimum sidewalk width, and extent of station areas for sidewalk treatments. The next meeting of the committee is Wednesday, January 28, at 3:30 pm in the City Planning & Development Department, 6th floor, 611 Walker. It’s open to the public, although only committee members may speak.
