METRO is starting the process of selecting artists to create artwork for the University Corridor light rail stations with two workshops this week. The workshops will focus on brainstorming themes for station artwork that reflect the community and its residents and selecting individuals to participate in meetings regarding the University Corridor public art program. Residents are encouraged to attend.
This meeting will address the stations on the eastern portion of the line: Almeda, Hutchins, Texas Southern University, Tierwester, Scott, University of Houston, and Eastwood Transit Center.
A second meeting on Saturday, January 31 at 9 am, will address the stations on the western part of the line.
