Livable Houston Initiative: “How Urban Design Affects Property Values”
This presentation will explore how people assign value to the built environment, and how environmental design decisions can either increase or decrease the value of property. The presentation will also examine how the public sector can utilize this knowledge and make policy decisions that will strengthen the tax base.
Andrew Burleson is the principal of Fourth Environment, LLC, a real estate development and urban design consultancy in Houston, TX. Fourth Environment specializes in helping small developers get unconventional projects built. Andrew also serves as a founding member and President of the CNU Houston chapter. He has an undergrad in Architecture and a Masters in Real Estate Development.

Houston Tomorrow and the Houston-Galveston Area Council (H-GAC) have co-hosted monthly lunch meetings to discuss a wide variety of urban issues since November 1999.
Livable Houston Initiative meetings take place on the fourth Wednesday of every month from noon to 1:30 pm and are free and open to the public. Bring your own lunch.
