Event Details — Livable Houston Initiative - Scott Jones on the importance of freshwater inflows to Galveston Bay
Scott Jones, Environmental Policy and Outreach Specialist at the
Galveston Bay Foundation will present about the importance of freshwater inflows to Galveston Bay, which are critical for the continued productivity and ecological health of this great environmental, recreational, and economic asset. Not only will you find out why fresh water is so important to the survival of the bay’s plants and animals, including important recreational and commercial fisheries species, you will also learn about the Senate Bill 3 environmental flows process that provides you an opportunity to help protect these inflows by having a say in new State of Texas environmental flow standards.
Visit the Galveston Bay Foundation website to

Free and open to the public. Bring your own lunch. Please RSVP to wendy.natt@houstontomorrow.org, or call 713.523.5757.
