Join the City of Houston Bikeway Program for the grand opening of the MKT Rails to Trails project. This project adds 5 additional miles of trails to the City of Houston bikeway network. The trail runs along Nicholson from 26th Street south to 7th Street and from Shepherd east along 7th Street, to Spring Street and White Oak Bayou under I-45, where it connects to the proposed Heritage Corridor West Trail near downtown providing a connection to the University of Houston and other downtown bikeways and destinations.

Bicycling: This new bicycle trail will be accessible on Dec. 19th from the bike lanes along Heights Blvd. at 7th Street as well as from the bike route along 14th and 20th Streets
