Houston Area Table (HAT) is organizing this panel, which will discuss the role of transportation in social services and community development.

Topics include:
- How does the design of Houston’s transportation system impact social service agencies working with the poor, elderly, disabled, and children?
- What should the next Mayor, the County, METRO, and H-GAC each do to improve this situation?
- Do you think that Houston can achieve mixed income neighborhoods around light rail?

The panel will be moderated by Jay Crossley of Houston Tomorrow and feature these speakers:

Mike McMahon - The Southwest Public Transportation Task Force
Robert Muhammed - NTE Planning Consultants
Amanda Timm - Local Initiatives Support Corporation
