The Houston-Galveston Area Council (H-GAC) Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) will meet on Wednesday, March 18 at 9:30 am. The TAC will vote on subcommittee nominations and receive updates on the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, the 2008-2011 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP), the 2010-2011 Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP), and Phase I of the City of Houston mobility planning. The meeting is open to all interested persons.
The TAC reviews and evaluates H-GAC’s regional transportation plans and provides its recommendations to the Transportation Policy Council (TPC). The TAC is an appointed body, which is comprised of representatives of member governments and special citizen interest groups with expertise in transportation planning. TAC members are appointed by the TPC to assist with the coordination of the Transportation Improvement Program, Metropolitan Transportation Plan and other transportation planning activities.
