H-GAC will host a public meeting on Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at 5:30 p.m. at its offices on 3555 Timmons Lane, Houston, Texas 77027, 2nd Floor Conference Room A. The purpose of the meeting is two-fold: (1) to solicit comments on corrections to the 2035 Regional Transportation Plan and (2) to solicit comments on an amendment to the 2035 Regional Transportation Plan involving the SH 99 [Grand Parkway] at IH 10 interchange.
Corrections to the 2035 Regional Transportation Plan involve the SH 105 and the Cleveland Bypass in Liberty County. Corrections address textual errors in the plan document identified during the Transportation Conformity (2009) inter-agency consultation process as follows:
• SH 105 from Liberty C/L to SH 105 Bypass (MPOID# 14633) – Correct
conformity year (now 2019, was 2025); project is to widen from 2 to 4 lanes in
the 2019 network.
• SH 105 Bypass from SH 105 West of Cleveland to SH 321 East of Cleveland
(MPOID# 12007) – Correct route reference and project limits (was SH 105 from
Liberty/Montgomery C/L to E of SH 105 Cleveland Bypass); project is to widen
from 2 to 4 lanes in the 2025 network.
More information on the transportation conformity process can be found at http://h-gac.com/taq/airquality/conformity/default.aspx.
An Amendment to 2035 Regional Transportation Plan would add two (2) direct connectors to the SH 99 at IH 10 W interchange, for a total of eight planned direct connectors. This amendment is consistent with the current transportation conformity and regional air quality planning efforts. The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) has requested this amendment in order to continue the development of future interchange improvements. Additional information on the 2035 Regional Transportation Plan can be found at http://h-gac.com/taq/plan/default.aspx.
The public is encouraged to attend this important meeting and provide comments to H-GAC. The comment period is open from October 26, 2009 through November 25, 2009 at 5:00 p.m. Comments can be made at the meeting and written comments submitted to H-GAC Transportation Public Information, P.O. Box 22777, Houston, Texas 77227-2777, emailed to PublicComments@h-gac.com or faxed to 713-993-4508.
