Food For Thought is a FREE thought-provoking series of panel discussions on today’s hot topics that support growing and eating locally, according to an Urban Harvest information sheet.
The series’ next event is 7:00 to 8:45 pm on Wednesday, Dec 16th in the Multipurpose Room of the Oberholtzer Residence Hall on the University of Houston - Central campus. Urban Harvest’s website includes a map to the event site and parking.
The event’s Facebook page notes that the topic for the Dec 16th meeting will be “Fresh Fruit Year Round” and includes the following details:
Come explore exciting ideas for creating year round fruitful harvests in our city. Bring the questions you have been dying to ask about growing fruits at home or out in the community. This interactive panel discussion will feature Heidi Sheesley, owner of Treesearch Farms; Bob Randall Ph.D., author of Year Round Vegetables, Fruits and Flowers for Metro Houston; John Panzarella, one of our region’s top citrus experts and Gary Edmondson, Director of Education for Urban Harvest.
