Join CNU-H (Congress for a New Urbanism-Houston) for its first walkable pub crawl. An event website includes the following details:
If you’ve been on the fence about CNU, this would be a great event to attend. We’ll be hanging out for several hours with no agenda, so you can easily participate in the great conversations that are guaranteed to ensue!
We’re going to start out from Hotel Zaza at 8PM (dress code: business casual). There’s a fair amount of on-street parking in the area of the Museum District station – carpooling is encouraged. Alternatively you can pay for Valet parking at the hotel. From Hotel Zaza we’ll head up the light rail, spending about 40 minutes in the vicinity of each stop along the way.
Here’s the agenda for the night:
1. Start at Hotel Zaza at 8pm (5701 Main St) – Museum District Stop
2. Continental Club (3700 Main St.) – Ensemble/HCC Stop
3. Lone Star Saloon (1900 Travis St) somewhere around 10-10:15 – Downtown Transit Center Stop
4. Flying Saucer (705 Main St)– Main St. Square Stop
5. Brewery Tap (717 Franklin St) – Walk N. from Flying Saucer 11:45-12:00Trains run every 12 minutes before 9pm and every 20 minutes after. Last train south is 2:20am.
Iphone users can download the Ride Houston app that shows you where the nearest public transportation stop is and estimated time of arrival of the bus or train.
If you’d like to attend this event, please RSVP via email to Andrew Burleson (burlesona[at]cnu-houston[dot]org). We hope to see you Saturday!
