This meeting serves as the annual business meeting for CEC. CEC will provide a review of the past year’s activities, a financial overview, and a list of the new groups that have joined CEC as members. The business portion of the meeting will include the election of new members to the CEC board of trustees. This meeting is a formal opportunity for you, a representative of a member organization, to provide input on the direction and activities of the CEC, and to suggest way in which CEC can provide value to its member groups and to the environmental community. Of course, you are always welcome to just drop us a line with suggestions and input.
Following the brief business meeting, John Jacob, Ph.D, Director, Texas Coastal Watershed Program and Coastal Community Development Specialist with Texas Sea Grant and Texas Agrilife Extension Service, will discuss Green Infrastructure for a Resilient Houston. Dr. Jacob will review the state of habitat in our area. He will be looking at what habitat we have lost, what is left, and will examine the role of our natural capital in terms of ecological services.
Refreshments will be provided. Members and visitors are welcome. Please RSVP for headcount estimate only to 713-524-4232 or .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).
