Our mission for eleven years has been to improve the quality of life in the Houston region. We see the tasks ahead on this path toward a sustainable Houston region as the great opportunity and responsibility of Houston’s current generations. There are ways to add another 3 million people to our region that will preserve our unique neighborhoods and culture while allowing Houstonians the option of living a low-carbon urban lifestyle. You can read about our accomplishments and programs in the 2009 issue of Progress, our annual report.

You are invited to be part of the emerging consensus toward walkable urbanism as the key to sustainability and prosperity. Please consider donating today and getting involved in making our city and region the great place we all want it to be. This year, we are asking you to consider giving at several different levels of support to both fund and be involved in crucial programs: the Tomorrow Environmental Education Program, our new Houston Neighborhoods project, our efforts to build an urban coalition in the Texas Triangle and develop a sustainable legislative agenda for Texas, and our speaker series, workgroups, and other public events.

This year, we have begun recognizing the leading individual supporters of Houston Tomorrow as Stewards of the region, those whose cumulative investment in a sustainable Houston region is over $10,000. Stewards will guide the long term work of Houston Tomorrow through visioning retreats, meetings with distinguished speakers, and other opportunities.
